snak Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 the aircraft already started and some dont in multiplayer how set the A10c and KA50 so I dont neet to start every time. Also the ATC works on some and not on others. How do you get ATC to work? Any ideas
MadTommy Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 (edited) In the editor you can make a player's plane start with either all systems running and ready for takeoff or all systems off. Ready for takeoff is called 'runway' and systems off is called 'ramp'. In single player a runway start you actually start on the end of the runway ready to go.. however in multiplayer a runway start puts you on the parking area, and you are ready to taxi, i.e engines & systems ready. (this is because in MP you can't have people spawn on the runway, for obvious reasons) If you look at the starting waypoint of your a10c or Ka50 in the editor you can choose: ramp, runway, turning point, fly over point. So if you do not want to do the start up procedure in your missions, make sure the initial waypoint is set to a 'runway start'. Regarding ATC.. the most likley reason, with what info you have given, is that you are on a different radio frequency to the tower. To check.. press F10 to see the map.. click on the airfield you trying to communicate with, you should then see a small info box, bottom left, that will give you info about the airfield.. this will include the ATC radio frequency. Make sure the top AM radio is on and tuned to that frequency. snak Posted March 25, 2012 Author Posted March 25, 2012 (edited) I tried the F10 thing but nothing came up went to the manual and got the frequency for kolkhi but there is not no frequency listed for Kutaisi. . Is it possible to set the ATC frequency automatically in the briefing Edited March 25, 2012 by snak
nomdeplume Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 "I tried the F10 thing but nothing came up" - do you mean nothing happened when you pressed F10? If so check your options to make sure you have access to the map view enabled. If you did get the map but didn't see the frequency, did you click on one of the airdromes to select it? "Is it possible to set the ATC frequency automatically in the briefing" - not sure what you mean? There's no way to automatically add the frequency to the briefing, I normally put a FREQUENCIES section near the top of the task and include ATC/FARP frequencies that will be required for the mission.
Tailgate Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 I think Snak is asking if you can pre-load frequencies in the ME, and you can't. You have to manually set the frequencies. Another way to check the frequencies is the Divert page, assuming your CDU is up and loaded

That is another can of worms though. i5-3570K @ 4.5 Ghz, Asus P8Z77-V, 8 GB DDR3, 1.5GB GTX 480 (EVGA, superclocked), SSD, 2 x 1680x1050, x-fi extreme music. snak Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 Sorry I meant f10 worked but could not see the airfeild details ie frequecies when I clicked on the airfield
snak Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 Thanks guys sorry to misslead you. I decided to do what nom said and put the airfeild frquency in the Briefing. I wondered if it was possible to set the aircraft to the airfield frequency automatically

nomdeplume Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 The main worm is that it saves all your aircraft settings, including the DSMS profiles. If you change your weapons loadout, it will still try to load the DSMS profiles, and if the weapons you actually have don't match the saved loadout then weird things will happen. You can fix that by opening the .miz file (it's just a zip archive) and deleting the DSMS settings.
Slayer Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Is it possible to use prepare mission for say A-10C save the settings then load the ME for BS2 and do the same (thinking in terms of multiplayer where there are A-10's and Ka-50's) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] System Specs Intel I7-3930K, Asrock EXTREME9, EVGA TITAN, Mushkin Chronos SSD, 16GB G.SKILL Ripjaws Z series 2133, TM Warthog and MFD's, Saitek Proflight Combat pedals, TrackIR 5 + TrackClip PRO, Windows 7 x64, 3-Asus VS2248H-P monitors, Thermaltake Level 10 GT, Obutto cockpit
