I suspect, that the Trim Reset function is a cheat carried over from at least BS1, or possibly earlier code. It is redundant in the A-10 but it is useful in the Ka-50 or Mustang (and possibly other aircraft), which do not have an automatic Trim Reset in RL.

I am not sure what you are trying to show me.

 

I know the A-10 has a T/O Trim button.

 

The question being asked by JayPee, is why there is that function and a Trim Reset within the game controls. The Trim Reset function, in the game, exists for all (I think) aircraft.

No - i suspect you are wrong in understanding what cichlidfan wrote.

 

He didn't denied that a take-off-trim function exists in the a-10 . - He just pointed out that the trim-reset is kinda cheat in the other planes.
