FBDon Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Ok, I'm and complete noob to this game. Got it 3 days ago. Been working through the training missings and working on the landing one. I can get to the point where I need to adjust the Khz of the ILS but it is saying to use the mouse wheel. Weel my butt puckered when I heard that as I am using a Logitech Marble Mouse and it doesn't have a scroll wheel... I have tried every possible google search that I can think of on how to remap the keys for the ILS frequency adjust to something else. I have scoured the manuals that came with the game and can't figure it out either. Any help would be appreciated. I just need to figure out how to map a custom key for the ILS Mhz and Khz up/down functions so that I can move on with this training mission. Thanks.
Jona33 Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Left click and move the mouse? Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
FBDon Posted April 20, 2012 Author Posted April 20, 2012 Left click and move the mouse? Tried that but it adjusts the ILS volume up and down when you hover the mouse over and left/right click.
bluepilot76 Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 I can't check, but from memory, I would say you can either; Left click to go up, right click to go down,,or Left click and hold, push mouse vertically up to go up or down to go down. But maybe that's a different simulator. Anyway you do not need an ILS to land, I would say that is quite advanced procedure. Or you could head down the shop and buy a really cheap mouse with a roller wheel, good practice for the Track IR and expensive joystick your also going to buying with in a few weeks! Harzach Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 There are two frequency fields - MHz an KHz. The MHz field is controlled by left-clicking and dragging (or mouse scrolling) on the left knob. Right-clicking on this knob cycles the power to the radio. The KHz field is controlled only by mouse scrolling on the right knob. Left and right-clicking will adjust the volume. You don't need a $70 gaming mouse, a simple cheapo mouse with scroll wheel will do.
Harzach Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Or, try this out: http://simans.net/marble/ It's currently unsupported, and it may not work well in a 64-bit OS, much less any OS after XP.

FBDon Posted April 20, 2012 Author Posted April 20, 2012 (edited) Used the marble scroll program and it worked great in windows but game doesn't recognize it. Trying some key bindings but not holding my breath. Edited April 20, 2012 by {FB}Don
