Teeps Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 As the title says, I installed DCS World on my E: drive (which is also where BS2 and A-10C live quite happily), but DCS World can't see that I already have the dlls it needs installed. It looks like it's not actually looking in the Windows directory on my c: drive. Just thought I'd mention it in case it's a problem with the installer. Mirtma Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 I have all of them on D: drive with no problem. Gigabyte Z490 Gaming X | i5 10600K@4700 | 32 Gb DDR4 @ 3200Mhz | Gigabyte Aorus GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11G | MONITOR IIYAMA 24,5" LED LCD @ 1920 x 1080 | Windows 11 | Saitek X-55 Rhino | TrackIR 5 Pro
cichlidfan Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 I have one machine with it installed on C, but not in the default path and the other is installed on D. Both work just fine. Have you tried reinstalling Direct X and or Visual C? Panzertard Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Then try to get the x86 C++ 2010 version as well - there's been issues in the past when you install the x64 it doesn't work properly until you add the x86 of the same libraries. And mine is installed on my E: drive, but I have all the C++ libraries (x64 + x86) as well as updated them afterwards using Windows Update. The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open | The important thing is not to stop questioning
Teeps Posted May 5, 2012 Author Posted May 5, 2012 I reinstalled it and let it install the packages and it ran fine, so all is well. Thanks everyone. Win10 x64, 16 GB RAM, Ryzen 5 1600X @3.60 GHz, 500 GB SSD, GeForce 1080 Ti
