No Rockets or Bombs available for the P-51D

Just loaded the P-51D sim today and can not get any rockets or bombs assigned to the P-51D.

 

The set-up allows you to assign the loads to the P-51D but the are not on the airplane itself nor is there any indication that they are there and just not visable to the user.

 

I have created a test flight after the install on my PC and still no munitions with the exception of the wing guns.

I don't know what indication you were looking for but they should be just 'invisible' at the moment. They should launch or drop just fine.

I arm the bombs release and on contact, explosion. But I can not get any rockets selected and released form the P-51D. No release from P-51 nor any contact with any ground objects.

You need to select the rockets. You then need to set the release interval, ie single of volley. Thereafter you need to press the weapons-release button.

 

If you are still having issues, track file please.

open with notepad, change line 3 from

{"P-51D.edm",50.0};

to

{"P-51D_lod1.edm",50.0};

 

This fixes orange wheels and should make your weapons show up

Don't forget to load up on rockets ;)

kinda tricky the first time

put the switch strait up to rockets,

 

then enable left and right weapon arms

and set the the release mode to single or auto and voila u can shoot rockets.

 

needed also a few try outs since i can shoot em out :pilotfly:

The changes to the P-51D.lod file corrected the visuals and the bombs still release and explode on contact but still no luck with rockets as of yet but I am seeing some more suggestions where I might be missing a step with the rocket sequences so I will do some more testing.

I get access denied when trying to save file...:doh:

 

Copy the file to your desktop, then modify it, then replace the old file with the modded one (save the original)
