I have searched the forums and the flight manual but have not found a solution to the following issue:

The throttle control handle in the cockpit is constantly moving. I tried adjusting the throttle control handle lock (using my mouse to turn the handle in the cockpit) and was able to stop the movement, however, now I cannot move the throttle control handle at all.

I am using a CH Fighterstick and the control wheel on the stick for throttle.

Is this a beta issue or am I missing something?

Thanks

This is an issue with the stability of the wheel on your stick. It's jumping around on you because of all the electrical noise coming from your computer. You can alleviate the issue by plugging into a powered USB hub instead. (It won't go away completely though).

The throttle lock does exactly what it is designed to do: prevent the throttle from moving.

My understanding of the throttle handle control lock, is that it functions as a friction lock, which will prevent the throttle handle from moving on its own, but still allow the pilot to move the throttle as needed.

That is correct. How much you tighten the lock down determines the amount of friction. Unfortunately, the setting needed to prevent electrical noise from moving his throttle for him is also the setting needed to completely lock the throttle.

Try looking at the screen for you wheel axis in the Windows controller applet, or in the CH Control Manager. If it jumps around in one of those 2, it is a bad pot in the stick. If not, it is a game issue.

or right control+enter in game to see the controls indicator. if it's a spiking pot you can usually spray some WD-40 into the pot and it will clean the contact points...that is unless they are completely worn down.
