Nate Dogg Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Hi, Ive just started to learn and fly the 25T, i have run through all the training missions and understood everything to fight in the Su-25T. When it comes to campaigns and such im lost. I have tried the Flamming Cliffs campaign and the one labeled Su-25T campaign. In the flamming cliffs version im always carved up by the sams, and all i have is un-guided rockets, no fancy guided stuff using the targeting systems. I just can't seem to get close enough/dodge all those missiles and still line up for a decent rocket shot. In the second of these campaigns i can do the first mission no worries but the second is killing me. Carrying 6 of those s-5 launcher pods (6*12 S-5 rockets) i can't inflict enough damage on the two nato boats. I forget what they are called, but they only shoot AA guns not missiles. But after launching over 50 rockets with majority hitting the targets (4 passes) im usually one engine down and rather shot to peices! But still can't destroy the targets only damage them My wingman is as thick as a brick. Im continually ordering him to attack naval targets/ground targets/ forfill mission and rejoin....... and all he does is fly next to me! Drives my mad! I need some help here. Its not that im a bad pilot or a noob, i have completed all the A-10 campaigns around and the F-15 ones. I can controll and land the su-25t no problems too. I can't think of any a-10 missions that sent you up against several sams and AA guns without some sort of laser guided weapons. Any help is apreciated. cheers
ZoomBoy27 Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Mission 2 is considered porked because it asks you to do extreme things without proper weaponry and throws in SU-25s in cloud/fog(impossible to see without labels). I'd edit the campaign settings by using the password "eagle" to de-classify(ctrl-alt-d) and change the weapon load-out to get past this. The designer piled in too much difficulty. Nate Dogg Posted October 12, 2005 Author Posted October 12, 2005 yeah i figured mission 2 was way to difficult. Is that the same mission 1 in the campaign labeld "Flamming cliffs su-25T"? Thanks for the quick response cheers
ED Team Groove Posted October 12, 2005 ED Team Posted October 12, 2005 I had massive problem with the accomplishing of the first su-25 t mission. After all i gave up because i was shred to pieces by the evil enemies in this valley :( Our Forum Rules: http://forums.eagle.ru/rules.php#en
Nate Dogg Posted October 12, 2005 Author Posted October 12, 2005 i know exactly what you mean, it all seems silly really, most of the training is with the laser guidence system, yet the first mission is all un-guieded rockets against leathal sams sites and such things in a little valley! cheers
Gazehound Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Well, should be ok after 1.11 - you will be able to select your own PL in campaigns. VVS504 Red Hammers
sixer Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 the first one is ezey you need to take it slow stay hi real hi. come around from the back thare is only 1 sam thare and 1 artilery when you get to the back send the ai to atack start a steap dive just as you get going real fast hit the air brake at this point you can see the sam fire keep cool keep coming let some flares go an hit them whith the big rocket pull back hard get alt keep the flares up now tern on the ir jaming and go in for the others while thay reload only hit the AA not the sams the convoy will kill them remember speed is what you need. if its not shakeing its not fast. good luck do not run fly!
sixer Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 i was talking about su-25T flaming cliffs do not run fly!
iwhiskey Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 I had difficultly at first, but I think learning how to get through this one teaches some important skills that come in handy in most of the rest. What I did was to start high and fast as sixer mentioned (but I used the planned route), turn on the ir jammer, and begin the attack approach. As you get into missle range, throttle all the way back and start pumping flares( of which the 25t has an amazing number). After firing continue using your altitude for speed to make your escape. Turn out to the right, keep dropping flares and keep the throttle use limited and stay low(very low) until you're in the cover of the adjacent valley. Throttle up, climb and repeat.
