The key would be determining the correct coordinates and FOV. Also, the text accompanying that vid on YouTube indicates otherwise (assuming it is accurate). Footage from the camera placed and harmonized exactly as real P-51D gun camera. That's what was said on russian side of this forum. (I speak russian...)

The other thing that still amazes me is the fact that these pilots on the strafing runs here had no idea that their work would be shown to millions of people. To them it was a dangerous venture into enemy held territory but to us it's just another youtube video. I watched a video recently and the pilots were told that anything moving in Germany was 'Fair game' and to strafe at will. In this video you can see horses pulling carts and they get the good news too. Quite disturbing to see animals being killed by .50 cal rounds but the aim (pardon the pun) was to totally destroy the ability to move equipment/food and anything that was of use to the German war machine. Apparently Chuck Yeager was heard to say after a briefing that he felt quite uneasy about shooting animals and strafing vehicles that could possibly contain non-military types..!!
