Reicht4 Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 (edited) Hello all, Firstly i've a x52 Pro HOTAS. No problem with FC-FC2-Ka50-A10C until DCS-WORLD installation with A10C patch. I always use my own profiles created on software's editor. And clearing whole Saitek's responding keys in game menu. I've an interesting problem. As you know X52 has 6 toggle keys T1-T2-T3-T4-T5-T6. For example, in FC2 for Su25T : T1 = LAlt+1 which is 1st of autopilots. Another, in DCS-A10C (1.1.1.1) : T6 = LCtrl+T which is trim reset. But after installing DCS-World and related A10C patch, i cant use toggle keys. The most weird one is, when i'm on land (taxi, runway etc..), pressing T1 for Su25T activates LAlt+1 as should be... But after take off, same T1 changes NAV modes as only "1" key. This really killed me. Is there any possible suggestion which i've been overlook? And the other weird thing, i cant use T6 trim reset toggle in A10C too (not lauched from DCS-World). I thought it could be because of installing patch "A-10C_1.1.2.1_EN.exe" Thanks, Edited May 24, 2012 by Reicht4
Reicht4 Posted May 24, 2012 Author Posted May 24, 2012 (edited) Ok, at least i understood the problem now. There is a kind of timing loss between saitek software - game. For example, E button (joy_btn_8 ) in A10C; E ise assigned as "F" flaps down. Pinky+E is assigned as "LShift+F" flaps up. Pressing E allways extracts flaps but Pinky+E do not retract it? It extracts also. Comedy side is, sometime it does ! My other toggle combinations is working but when assigned on modifier combinations it fails... I dont use any timing in profile editor. What should i do? Edited May 24, 2012 by Reicht4
Reicht4 Posted May 27, 2012 Author Posted May 27, 2012 Solved.. Interestingly, some modifiers need delay time. For example, while IRCM, Laser and Mercury dont need that delay time (only pressing Shift+E works); Flaps - Autopilots need delay time.. Same in A10C, f.e. Flaps Up and Trim Reset functions (Shift+F , Ctrl+T) need delay time. But there is another important point which is a trick in profile editor. As you know you can add delay time as standard and advanced types. Stadart is pressing Shift+F and assinging it delay time. That doesnt work. In advanced mode; Shift (press) + T (press) + T(break) + Shift (break) and with 0.025 sec delay for each (total 0.075 sec). Another important point, 0.005 secs for each doesnt work. There is a limit for that loss also. Probably last one is because of my PC hardware. Instant freezes causing timing loss between hardware and software.
HiJack Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Cant say I have had these problems. I always add a delay of 0.100 on all my commands (you only need to set the delay on the Shift release) as the commands never need to be repeated in an instant with flight simulators. (HJ)
AegisFX Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 (edited) I just experienced this problem in dcs world. strangely, i have never experienced it in dcs a10-c (Steam). What I did was set my trigger, the pinky trigger, to "latched" in sst. FIXED. edit: while this worked in single play, it seemed to fail me in multiplayer edit2: went right back to failure actually. Still trying to troubleshoot this.
