flightace37 Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Were there any changes to the A-10C flight model during the DCS World integration? I believe there has been a significant change in both roll rate and rudder behavior, and it is definitely for the better. Anyone else notice this? Were there release notes discussing it? - WH_Mouse

I noticed some "differences" in the flight behaviour and checked the controller settings. My toebrakes were functioning as a second stick and tried to center the aileron and elevator every time when I moved the stick :pilotfly:
jp203000 Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 I just noticed IL-76 .... models have been improved .

xxJohnxx Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 I think the change to the flight performance is that the SAS isn't working in the beta. If you fly a cirlce, SAS won't add rudder input in the current Beta version. Snoopy Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 AFAIK it's only Yaw SAS that isn't working in the beta. v303d Fighter Group Discord | Virtual 303d Fighter Group Website
Corrigan Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 In the naïve view of a layman, it doesn't seem unlikely that the flight model's changed slightly. If as seemingly arbitrary things as isolated avionics (yaw SAS) can change, why not the FM? Win10 x64 | SSDs | i5 2500K @ 4.4 GHz | 16 GB RAM | GTX 970 | TM Warthog HOTAS | Saitek pedals | TIR5

If as seemingly arbitrary things as isolated avionics (yaw SAS) can change, why not the FM? That wasn't supposed to change. Bug. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
Corrigan Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 And bugs are exactly what other unintended changes in the FM would be. If avionics can develop bugs from the export, why can't the FM? Win10 x64 | SSDs | i5 2500K @ 4.4 GHz | 16 GB RAM | GTX 970 | TM Warthog HOTAS | Saitek pedals | TIR5

Sorry, thought you were implying they changed the SAS so they might have changed the FM as well. I haven't noticed many obvious differences myself. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
