SPOILER ALERT!

OK, here's what's bugging me for a while. I recall I've seen this movie in early 90's. The only thing I remember is the ending. A guy sunk a submarine on (probably) a river using a... torpedo that he hoisted on a raf or a boat :) Does anyone have a clue on the probable movie name? What's left in my memory is the Polish title - Wojna Smitha which would translate back to English as Smith's War. But you don't want to know how our movie title translations deviate from originals ;)

Very Impressive Peter ! Ha I remember that movie to. Now could you tell me

where I left my car keys ?

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy and I've had both.

Sorry, but this place I can't find in a list so easily.

...You first have to write this list for me.

:D

...It also helped a lot that I remembered watching this movie as a kid. And I was also very impressed how Murphy pulled the strings to get this damn Sub sinking.

Hey guys,

I know that movie, it's called Murphy's war.

If you're a sub fan, ehem, like me, I recommend watching these:

**********************

My Golden Sub movie list

**********************

1- Operation Pacific (John Wayne)

2- Torpedo Run (Glenn Ford and Ernest Borgnine)

3- Destination Tokyo (Cary Grant)

4- We dive at dawn (John Mills) <Brit>

5- The Enemy Below (Robert Mitchum)

6- Das Boot (Jurgen Prochnow)

7- Run Silent Run Deep (Clark Gable)

8- Action in North Atlantic (Humphrey Bogart) <- this one is not boats, its feather merchants :)

But that is just to name a few...

Compared to the CG boring sh1t we see today, those were true movies, with US Navy cooperation and footage and probably boats in the making.

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Aye!- I hear you!

-one point you forgot: I'm fine with todays CGI...but these old movies had one big advantage: they had also true actors! :P and not these so called "Stars" we have to stand today.

And the beautiful thing is, I got them all on DVD's. :)

Those people are the cornerstones of American picture. My grand-pappy loved those, and I guess I inherited his affection. Not those 'clowns' of today with the CG crap reloaded/overloaded...

It's true what they say.. 'Old is Gold'
