Sqwaller Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Wow, lots going on here, I am having a hard time understanding just what I need to do to be compatable for the future. Here is what I have, A-10C sim, KA-50 sim, KA-50 2 sim. A-10C is updated to 1.1.1.1 is that the last stand alone patch for that sim? I think I upgraded my KA-50 sim to the second iteration for 19 bucks. Now my question is this, is the DCS world a free update/upgrade or is it purchased with the P-51 sim? Is it in the cobined arms sim? Or is there a place where I can get all this info in one area, I have read about 20 different threads and at least 200 posts and have not really found answers to this question. I do appologise if I am posting needlessly, if so Ill stuff a terd in my ear and dance for you all.:D
ilikepie Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Now my question is this, is the DCS world a free update/upgrade or is it purchased with the P-51 sim? Is it in the cobined arms sim? all.:D World is FREE to Dl and use with the su 25 . The other modules then plug in to the World platform. if you dont own a module its not flyable. You can activate the other modules if you have the activation code, and from what i can tell CA will plug into DCS World. Action After Contemplation
cichlidfan Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I think I upgraded my KA-50 sim to the second iteration for 19 bucks. This part does matter with regard to DCS: World Beta. The upgrade version of BS2 is not compatible with the Beta version of World (actually it is the key AFAIK). This issue will no longer exist when World is released. The A-10 key will work with World Beta just fine, as will a pre-purchase of the P-51. Combined Arms is also another upcoming module for DCS World due to be available for pre-purchase by the end of this month. Sqwaller Posted June 7, 2012 Author Posted June 7, 2012 Thank you for the reply, I am looking forword to see all this come together. It has been a dream of mine to have ability to fly and also have intigration for multiple modules for mud movers and different aircraft and helos.
SackDestroyer Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 It's pretty nice so far just to have the three aircraft (and the SU-25) in the same menu. Instead of having to exit out and start another game.
