The thing is that it just can't... not even with the one it has been purchased...

 

And here we come to another question, can two people join A.-10C multiplayer with two different serials bought with same site account? If not, my friend threw 40$ hard earned, eh?

 

And of course, can the serial be bound willingly to the account of the player/simmer it was ment to be used...?

Nothing sad about it - As said, the serial can only be used on the account it was purchased on. As for the second question, yes, you can request transfer of a serial purchased on one account to another account and yes, it will in all probability be granted.

 

Just exercise a wee bit of patience - your ticket is in the system and will be attended to in due course.

The two serials will be linked to the same account and as such you will not be able to if my understanding is correct. One account per member per login to the master server. This is obviously referring to two separate clients.

 

I'll get someone else to have a look here too in case I'm incorrect.

Yes, I think you're right Viper.

2 Serials, 1 MP account - both must exist on 1 account's owner to work in MP.

So 2 Serials, 2 MP accounts may not work - unless you activate them on separate PCs and install only 1 product per PC.

I don't really understand your reply Panzer...

 

I just bought a serial of A-10C for a friend with my site account.

Now both serials are bound to my acoount.

He would like to play on his PC with this serial.

He created his own site account.

 

Question again.

 

Can we both use my account with different serials to log in on a multiplayer server simultaneously?

 

Does the server check the usernames and serials or just serials?

 

Please solve this for me... please, with sugar on top...

If I have to hazard a guess, no - the same account cannot be logged twice onto the master server simultaneously from different PC's. Then again, I may be wrong - Why don't you just try it and see what happens? That should give you an answer right away.

 

Best course of action would be to transfer one serial to your friend's account - have you requested this yet?

Ah, my fault - I misunderstood you. Let's see if we got enough sugar.

Viper, it used to be like that - at least with one serial - but now if you have several serials, it may have changed.

And it changed just for the very few last versions.

 

I use such setups for my clients + servers

1 MP account with several PC & keys. (Minimum 2 keys of each product)

You can do that as long as the keys are different on the different PCs

PC1, Key1

PC2, Key2

But then again ALL my keys are on once account, not just 1 extra key.

Your friend can't use his own account when he's using your serial registered on your account.

 

However, if your friend want to fly A10C and then jump into BS2 (DCS World), then he might have problems if A10C is registered on your account - and the BS2 is registered on his account.

Your friend may not be able to switch account quickly unless he logs off / on and such

And thats the situations I've never tested.

 

Enough sugar? Or do I have to go get a friggin cherry too? ;)

Thx Panzer... we tried all combinations... always "INVALID SERIAL"...

I opened a ticket no one answered still... I asked for this in the ticket but for what good if no-

I get one friend/pilot to join my squad in a year of flying (they are really hard to get novadays), and this is how it goes... The only reason I bought it is because he didn't have a credit card to make it slip on the e-shop... :doh:

- registry "HKCU\Software\Eagle Dynamics"

If he have more products installed, they may "win".

If he only have that module you bought for him - it should work, as long as you reset everything.

And he will have to use your gift and your login.

I will do some retrying with your suggestions, although this is the first DCS product my friend will install... there is one slight problem... we still do flight/combat training on DC-A10C 1.1.1.1 version server, I did not issue the "all switch to DCS-World" order jet... I'm afraid to do so... :D
