I would love to see the heatblur over the terrain, especially runway, in warm/hot weather

Eeh I guess it'd kill FPS totally as same as adding few lights spots over airport decreased FPS by at least 50% :O

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

On some systems yes, but would be nice feature.

As long as you can set it in options menu like Heat Blur for engine exhausts.

Any new feature will "cost" some fps... this one I think would not be too much but would be a nice addition for the DCS environment, and you would see it only while you are on the ground, or flying few meters of the ground

You can't see it from above the ground, from the aircraft. It is only visible if you are ON the ground and looking parallel to the road.

Edit: OIC, you said when standing on the runway... that is the correct place to see it. I would be nice, but maybe uselesly FPS hungry...

Your head is above the ground and if you sit in the cockpit your viewpoint is 3-4m above the ground and you sure can still see it ;)

3-4m ABOVE the ground is still what we (pilots) call ON the ground :music_whistling::thumbup::smilewink:
