zedboy Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 I was wondering if anyone would happen to know a way to make the glow from the blue cockpit lights match the gauges? For instance, during the evening and in the early mornings, there's an orange glow around the cockpit from the gauges when you hit 'L'. I installed the mod and noticed that the cockpit lights were blue but I was still getting that orange glow around the cockpit. Would anyone happen to know which file I would need to edit to have a blue glow in the 'pit ... or perhaps no glow at all, like in the screenshot from the mod's creator? Below is a screen showing his cockpit with no glow at all: I have the lights option set to all in LOMAC, if this helps. Thanks in advance.
Tallyho1961 Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 I was about to post my own question about cockpit illumination, so rather then start another thread, I thought I'd add to your question: What is/are the correct colour(s) for cockpit lights in the aircraft represented in LOMAC? I assume the mods were made because the default orange is not realistic. ___________________________________________________________________ HEC 435W PSU | ASRock 939Dual SATA2 | AMD64 3700+ | 2G PC3200 DDR RAM ASUS X1950PRO 256MB | Audigy 2 | Saitek X45 | CH Pro Pedals | Track IR3 Pro
diveplane Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 that blue cockpit mod is no where near realistic....., but if you like it thats your thing... i prefer... ARCHERS cockpit mods are very realistic....like the real jets ... get them here .... http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?dlcategory=26 and here http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?act=downloads&do=view&type=cat&cat=26&page=2&cur_num=10&num=10&group=date&order=DESC https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.
zedboy Posted October 18, 2005 Author Posted October 18, 2005 The ones made by Archer are impressive! Do you get the orange glow in the cockpit with these gauges as if the gauges were still in the original orange?
diveplane Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 think the file you mean is dds2 format and the current graphics reader wont read this type off file...... cant edit the in cockpit glow for now... https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.

Yellonet Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 the reason orange/red light is used because it doesn't effect your night vision when it's on. Or the least effect anyway... I guess it has to do with red having lower frequenzy than other colors. i7-2600k@4GHz, 8GB, R9 280X 3GB, SSD, HOTAS WH, Pro Flight Combat Pedals, TIR5
