Its true that Arma2 and DCS are two much different type "games" Arma 2 started out back in 2001 as "Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis, around the same time as World war 2 online.. From cold war crisis VBS was developed for the military. Both "games" do there part well. DCS which is a great flight sim in its self lacks the ability to comunicat with any other people on the ground in order to give a good combat feel to the simulator. ARma2 on the other hand is a great sim for ground units and tatics of air power and vehicular warfare I will admit that the mechanics for the ground force in Arma is reather clunky but for what it aimed for was great.

That being said, with the additon of Combined arms it will make the battlefield experence alot more rewarding or a challange for the aircraft in the skys. It will also give the aircraft in the skys some one to comunicate with to provide strikes on other ground units in a nearby area that the aircraft may not be able to see from above.

Me personly i would like to see something along the lines of a 100% simulated battlefield. And i beleave with DCS this may become a great possability. Perhaps one day we will have fully simulated armor and sam sites. with the great simulation of aircraft

Love ARMA love DCS,adding the 2 together,eh yeah itd be cool to have ground and air, with DCS realistic jets, and Armas..well looks.but, the amount of time anyone would see you/hear you is,less than a minute,Arma's helicopters and jets cant fly nearly as high as you should, unlike DCS where you can be at 10k feet and be virtully non-existent to other players,

Good Idea, but it wouldnt really be worth it unless DCS starts popping more helicopters out.

Jets can fly high in Arma too, believe me. DCS can do what has been done in Arma, if they wish to. And especially if they allow modding.
