Leeham Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 (edited) I was given Remarks by JTAC which listed the following grid reference - CK711 839, but CK did not exist on my map. Z and C overlapped. How do I find CK711839? edit: http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/w/images/3/39/JTAC_9_LINE_UTM_CRDN_ENTRY_PROCEDURE.pdf I'm guessing this will help me...is there no way of seeing it on the F10 map? Weltensegler Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 (edited) Did you created a way/mark point with these UTM coordinates? Just in case you didn't: on your UFC push func -> wp then on your cdu push the OSB next to the number with the question mark (that number before you push it will be the number of your way point you create) then make sure it says UTM in the lower right if not switch to UTM. type in the UTM coordinates you talk about and hit the button next to it. Now you should be able to cycle to that point on the TAD and hook it up and then slave your sensors to it. There are also youtube tutorials about that, search for DCS UTM JTAC etc. Hope that helps!? The coordinates do in fact sound funny, pretty sure I was never in that area :) EDIT: ok I peaked at your link...that should tell you what I said and better I belive Edited July 10, 2012 by Weltensegler 4790K@4,6Ghz | EVGA Z97 Classified | 32GB @ 2400Mhz | Titan X hydro copper| SSD 850 PRO ____________________________________ Moments in DCS: --> https://www.youtube.com/user/weltensegLA --> WELD's cockpit: --> http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=92274
BigfootMSR Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 I have an ingame interactive training tutorial that will teach you how to input the coordinates into the CDU. See my signature. Leeham Posted July 11, 2012 Author Posted July 11, 2012 Thanks for the info and the training mission. I started a free flight, entered CK711 839 as a custom waypoint, and it appeared on my TAD as expected...only it was nowhere near the mission AO. In fact, it was on the complete opposite side of the map. Maybe I wrote down the coordinates wrong or something. WildBillKelsoe Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 on CDU waypoint page, change 37T to 38T. Now you have the exact coordinates in the AO. AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors.
