Stratos Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Now that sites like Kickstarter are in full swing, have anyone tought in those sites to get the money needed to create a project? Let's see an example. Eagle Dynamics needs (remember is an example) 500.000 dollars in order to hire a new small team to produce a flyable AH-64 Apache. They put the idea on Kickstarter and If they get enough money they hire a new small team that will learn the product and will work on the new helicopter. What do you think? I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!

PlainSight Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Kickstarters are meant for small indie or one-man-band developers, i don't think ED or IRIS, for example will do this. They'll more likely release some preorder beta, if the development takes longer and they need some extra credits for the final debugging and polish before release. [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
ruprecht Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 This would be perfect for someone like Flexman to bring his amazing AH64 to DCS. DCS Wishlist: | Navy F-14 | Navy F/A-18 | AH-6 | Navy A-6 | Official Navy A-4 | Carrier Ops | Dynamic Campaign | Marine AH-1 | Streaming DCS sometimes:
aaron886 Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 This would be perfect for someone like Flexman to bring his amazing AH64 to DCS. Seen suggestions like this a lot lately, but that's not how it works. It would be like starting over.
Stratos Posted July 18, 2012 Author Posted July 18, 2012 Well any project based on DCS needs to be started from Scratch. But have you tought how many will pay for a realistic modern AH-64 Apache simulator? With the realism degree of the BS or the A10C, a lot of people related to DCS and a lot more than never played a DCS game before will put a lot of money on such project!! sungsam Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Seen suggestions like this a lot lately, but that's not how it works. It would be like starting over. Yes but now he will be much quicker. He will know how to walk the path avoiding any traps and certently the outcome will be better. For me, would be a dream for Flexman to introduce AH64 to DCS. DCS F16C 52+ w JHMCS ! DCS AH64D Longbow !
Stratos Posted July 18, 2012 Author Posted July 18, 2012 It will provide a risk free way of development, as all production costs will be aready paid. AND maybe they can hire external workers to do tasks like 2d edition, skinning... I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
