ED Team NineLine Posted July 17, 2012 ED Team Posted July 17, 2012 Not sure this is a bug or as intended, but I would like to see the option to completely leave your aircraft when you jump into armor. And with that I would like to see the view keys used for the aircraft work with the armored vehicle you are in, such as F2 for outside view and F3 for fly-by. As it stands now if you hit F2 or F3 you view your aircraft, not the armored unit you are currently driving. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
Evil.Bonsai Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 f2 is for aircraft. f7 is for ground units. You can leave your aircraft. As soon as you take command of a vehicle, you lose access to your plain, as AI takes it over.

vicx Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 (edited) Lets call it a a drive-by view. --- Just decided to adjust my comment to make it plain that I agree with Sith. Modal View options are automatically intuitive. It's not like anyone would get confused if you changed to a universal system that treats what you are in as the object to apply a view to. It's actually confusing now and the more time you spend in Ca the more you notice it. Why are there no flybys/drivebys for vehicles. Or a follow cam Or view closest vehicle Or view closest airborne Is it because there are no "F" keys left? Is that the only reason? Edited November 13, 2014 by vicx decided to make an actual comment
Rabb Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 I have the same habit, trying to view my vehicle by pressing F2. It would be intuitive. This can be resolved with dedicated own plane/vehicle view command. BTW, there is a bug which needs fixing - when you eject from your plane, you cannot jump into vehicle although you previously selected Tactical commander role or any of the CA roles. You remain in role of your pilot falling to the ground and later walking... Most of the times people used to rejoin server in order to resolve this issue, but in last couple of the days I found a workaround solution - just select a different plane slot, hit Fly and then select some of CA roles. Anyway, it is really a bug.
