Hoggorm Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 I've run through the Gun/Rockets and Unguided bombs tutorials a few times. When I've released all weapons I have to once again run through the tutorial and listen to the instructor before I can fly over the target range - where I want to be to practice weapon delivery. Have someone made some good training mission for the various weapons that I can download so that I quickly can find myself over the target range and start learning by doing? Thank you

Hoggorm Posted July 28, 2012 Author Posted July 28, 2012 Thank you. I have version 1.2, and all files seem to be made for previous versions. Will that be a problem?
PeterP Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 (edited) . EDIT: Most of the 1.1.1.1 missions will work without problem in 1.2.0. To make sure that they will not crash - just open them once in the 1.2.0 editor and save them again. BTW: you can try setting weapons to "unlimited" and "use this for all missions " in the in-game settings when just doing a practice. Edited July 28, 2012 by PeterP
Hoggorm Posted July 29, 2012 Author Posted July 29, 2012 What file types are the .trk files? I've download a mission called Tank plinking, but do not find a way to run it? I also find it hard to search for training missions... I can't find a custom search field? Only Aircraft, File type, Game, Language and Created by. Is there a way to search for a spesific word?
Humvee28 Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Dragon has made a nice Training Mission Pack: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=68802 Normally designed for MP, but you can use it for SP also. Just read the #1 Post. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My System-Specs @ SysProfile Real Pilots need "No Mark". :D

Hoggorm Posted July 29, 2012 Author Posted July 29, 2012 You can also just land and rearm.... Yes, but then I still need to follow the entire tutorial before I can start the next time I want to train...
PlainSight Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 That's why there's weapons training mission on the mission list. I've flown it countless times. [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Hoggorm Posted July 29, 2012 Author Posted July 29, 2012 That's why there's weapons training mission on the mission list. I've flown it countless times. OK? Do you mean the ones found in \DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\A-10C\Missions\EN\Training\Combat Employment? If so those still have the instructor talking... I do not want that after listening to it for 5-6 times...

Just read the #1 Post. :) +1 This is what I use to practise, along with the rest of the pilots I fly with. You also can't go wrong with his mission pack. Hope your training goes well. Hoggorm Posted July 29, 2012 Author Posted July 29, 2012 Yes, I downloaded those, but at least the mission I tried (target practice), I started with a cold and dark cockpit in a shelter. My priority is to learn the weapon systems first, and start/shutdown later. Thus at least that mission was of little use to me. Unless I can choose to start on the runway?
PeterP Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 (edited) You can use LeftWin+Home to execute a automatic start-up.... If this isn't what you are looking for: Mission Editor> open the mission and select the A-10 (or a way-point of it) on the map by simply clicking it and set the air-plane to A)start from runway B)Fly over point (to start airborne) Than save the mission or just hit the fly button. Even more useful info can be found in the GUI manual Edited July 29, 2012 by PeterP
