Possible Bug.

I have not been able to spawn multiple "heavy" air units together. e.g. I tried to include 2 Tu-22 bombers. I was able to select them no problem (1 group, two units), get into mission and only one of them has spawned. Exact same issue when I then tried to include 2 An-26's as the 1 group, only 1 spawned.

Just to make sure I then tried B-52, C-17 and C-130. Same issue.

Just to clarify this is what I mean by Multiple in 1 group.

Try the copy paste of the single unit. Then on the copied unit use the follow command. Makes realistic formation geometries possible!

I don't need no stinkin' GPS! (except for PGMs :D) :pilotfly:

What if the lead unit (the one they are supposed to follow) gets shot down, will the other planes just wander around aimlessly?

Hey, Leads lead, Followers follow. Two, don't call me unless to say Lead's on fire!

Make lead immortal ... problem solved. LOL

This has not worked in v1.1.1.1 either.

All my heavies are single unit groups; had too many problems with multi-unit groups otherwise.

One can use the new scripting engine to automatically find the "highest" aircraft, then have all the "wingmen" follow it.

This is a good idea for a canned script- a "virtual" flight. I'll think about the best way to implement this.

You could use triggers for the same effect, but it would be harder.

Intelligent discourse can only begin with the honest admission of your own fallibility.
