Changing the Laser Code

I can adjust the code in my TGP.

But how to alter the code in the weapons DSMS profile? There is no OSB defined for that...

Yes you can. Although technically the laser code for the weapon is set on the ground with a screw driver then set in the profile.

 

If you click on the LGB in DSMS, click Prof then you can set the LSR code in there (I think from memory).

 

On the TGP, type in your laser code on the UFC then click the button labelled LSS

DSMS inventory page, select a GBU-12, hit OSB 3 (Inv Stat), enter new LASER code into scratch pad, hit OSB 7 to enter the new code, then lastly push OSB 9 or 10 to load or load symmetrically.

Ok. So the trick is not to navigate into the profile section but into the inventory. Thanks!

Right, the inventory gives you the ability to alter settings that you normally can't in-flight in real life. Profiles can be adjusted just like in real life - to my understanding.

Not technically true. You can alter the inventory in flight as much as you like in reality, it just wont have any physical affect on the weapon(s).

 

Profiles can indeed be adjusted/created in flight, although normally all necessary profiles would be created during mission planning.
