Jordan4 Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Hello. I was just playing a training mission and I was doing hard maneuvering and the engines stalled. I restarted the apu and engines and power came back on to the mfcd's and the hud however most of the information on the hud was gone. All I had was altitude speed and a few other instruments but when I pressed master mode nothing I was not getting the gun reticle or bomb reticle for ccip or ccrp and I couldnt even tell what mode I was in. Does anybody know what J am doing wrong or what I forgot to turn back on? Thank you. Also I am still unclear how to patch this game. Somebody told me to download the complete new version. How do I do that without paying if I have the box version? Thank you.
MTFDarkEagle Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 The EGI lost all it's data after the power loss. You need to re-allign the system. Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
Eddie Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 You lost power when the engines stalled, therefore all the aircraft system, including the EGI were shutdown causing the systems to revert to emergency backups once power was restored. In the case of the HUD it was using the HARS backup system. In order to remedy the issue you need to perform an EGI inflight alignment, which will take several minutes longer than a normal ground alignment.
cichlidfan Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Just download it. No payment is required to DL the software. The key that came with the box will work. You need DCS World from HERE...and the A-10 module from HERE. EDIT: That is some serious sniping...but we aimed at different targets. :D ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero, i7-6700K, Noctua NH-D14 Cooler, Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133, Samsung 950 Pro NVMe 256GB, Samsung EVO 250GB & 500GB SSD, 2TB Caviar Black, Zotac GTX 1080 AMP!
