Hey, I am using a Lua dll created by a third party for the Saitek products. It works well in Blackshark 1 but in all other units/modules ( Blackshark 2, A-10, P-51 and DCS World) I get a " Not a valid win 32 application" error.

What is the difference in the lua's (in the bin file)between Blackshark 1 and the rest of the modules? I would like to know if I can create a working script for the X52 pro and Flight instrument panel.

Could it be that BlackShark1 is 32 bit and the rest are geared for 64 bit? If so , any ideas for a newbie programmer for workaround?

Well iguess for starters, Blackshark 1 has a 32 bit dll and exe. The rest are 64bits. So the dll for my saitek devices (32) won't function and as Lua for windows is 32 bits, DCS lua wil not look in my c drive for saitek dll. as it is the only 64 bit lua offering.

Have you tried running it under the 32 bit versions of BS2 and A-10? They should be there. in early version the installer let you pick which ones to install , later I think it just installed the appropriate shortcuts based on your OS

DCS world is a little different file locations have moved: The 32 bit and 64 bit are both included but are now located under the subfolder for each aircraft:

C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\A-10C\bin here you will find the x86 and x64 versions in subfolders

I don't think the 32bit files are installed anymore, in a 64bit enviroment. Many versions ago you could explicitly tell the A-10 installer to also install 32bit files.

As I was afraid. Thank you for the info.

Do you know anyone with an old machine you can borrow/buy cheap? You don't need it to run well just something that you can install XP or Win7 32 and DCS onto.

Just a thought but I am a pack rat. ;)
