Kaktus29 Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 would it be useful to have a fuel system where you put AI plane on route to a mission and actually so far we don't know how much fuel is the plane going to have after it finishes all waypoints and mission... would it be nice to be able to see "range" of the plane considering its fuel load and how it affects it when we put the plane on higher altitude or lower..by increasing the range and lowering it respectively ... Maybe there is no use since missions last 1 hour tops.. by if we get some sort of campaign going on, and try to cover most of airspace for as longest time possible than this should come useful.. not to mention how different it would feel to use short range fighters vs. long range-who can stay in air for much longer time.. and cover greater distance..
Cali Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 The map in DCS/FC2 isn't that big and all jets can fly around it on a full tank(s). Add a tanker in the mix and you are golden like a shower. 1 i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED

In multiplayer or even some campaign missions fuel becomes an issue. My longest MP flight was about three and a half hours plus. If AI air cover should be available, they might need refueling or a relief flight group.
