This activation system really annoys me, what's the point of paying for something I now cannot use at my leisure.

helidude Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 So i thought maybe ill just buy the upgrade to black shark 2, but i went to install it and it requires BS1 to be installed and activated unless i want to fork out the cash for the whole game, not just the upgrade. This user support is just pathetic.

At least they learned from it and the stupid black shark 1 serial system is mostly fixed in the newer games, as you get a new generated serial after you use them all. I too have submitted a ticket, I have been to Starforces website, tried for a new activation key, uninstalled per the instructions, reinstalled and updated to 1.2. This all stared after installing DCS world. My BS2 will not run, other than in an outside view. When goto the website to get the file to clean out my REG, it tells me the file is corrupted, and the file they refer me too is a mp3 file???? I have provide evry serial number I own and ativation key, how much longer do I need to wait for somebody to get back to me????????

Then run it from your hard drive. Spuds Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Reply Thank you for responding, I have tried the right click method. It just hangs up and doesn't want to work, it has a .mp3 file extension. Why wouldn't it think it's a audion file?

Internet explorer has renamed files a lot for me previously. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/delete_all_activation_data.reg As you can see, the file is not an mp3. It's a .reg. If right-click and save creates an mp3 file, then you should try a different browser. (I've doublechecked the download, it works on Chrome.) EDIT: Tested on IE, and yup, it renames it. Scratch another for IE trying to be smart when it isn't. Should still work if you download that way and then change back from mp3 to reg. Spuds Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Last question Well, I was able to run the reg cleaner thanks to you however, It still won't except my SN. I suspect I am not running the right one. I went to Starforces web site and plugged in the 2 SN numbers and they both show they where attached to BS and BS 2 upgrade. I have my order #, I don't know where to go anymore? If I could find the web page that shows all my purchases, maybe I could vary my SN?
