okie dokie? Try right clicking CPIAS and open with Lua "Scite"( edit script) The scripting window should open. On the top panel you should see the tool menu bar. Look for a blue arrow and click it. Let me know what happens.

I think I screwed the pooch on this one. What dll did you put in the lua lib folder? Saitek dll or Cpias dll?

There in lies the problem, I have this thread so mangled that you have to ask that question( shame on me ). Give me a minute and I will organize things for the latest Dll. I am adjusting things as the colors are off on the Fips. As you have the x-52 pro should not affect you but I nee to clean things up over here.

Me again, looking for motivation. Is any one still using this plug in? I do not have a lot of stick time with any of the modules and I am looking for input in to what is a useful and what is unnecessary eye candy. Any suggestions or request?

I can not get the mfds to update using the scripts.

They update on the tablet but does not update on the fips. Same using the task manager screen capture. I only get a static picture now. Any one know of any changes with in Windows or maybe ati drivers?

It appears that a recent windows update borked the screen capture function within the dll. Looking into a fix if anyone is interested.

 

 

Until then I will continue to struggle with other promised updates and manuals.

I hope not. Im have been looking for info on how to use the MFD of my X52 Pro with the black shark2 module. And I found your post. I was going to ask if this is still working. Im not really skilled in programming so I will have to check on the instruction. Are they still valid ?

Tinchus2009, I now finally have a response, there is hope. it is still working.

Do me a favor by trying to get things working by digging through the instructions and note any confusing parts and/or issues.

I think it would be best to close this thread and start a new one with better instructions and one stop shopping for updated scripts. Just need input.

So, after all it was a windows thing. If you are using the windows capture function and can not get the fips to update , try this :

Without going through old versions and old posts, is there a working mod for X-52 Pro for showing frequencies on radios on the LCD display of the throttle? I am only using the throttle for alternate usage as i have a Virpil HOTAS setup. For example, i might use the throttle axis of the X-52 Pro throttle as a lever for something else that needs an Axis control in the Hornet and I will use some of the lighted buttons and things like that. I have the X-52 Pro Throttle only sitting on a mouse metal plank attachment to my Virpil T50 CM2 Stick (WARBRD Base). And so it just gives me more buttons and the LCD display and also the AXIS of the throttle itself. Any suggestions on the alternate usage for the AXIS that would be great!

Not for the Hornet. I do not have that module and I am trying to catch up on the ones I do have. I could try and help write a script if you wish.

thanks for your reply, how much work is that? I fly the F-16 as well as others, but the Hornet is the go-to plane for carrier landings and things like that... but again...depends on what it would take to write that script. thanks again!!

I can write a script for the F16 and document each step. If you questions we can walk through it. Once that is done you should be able to write scripts for any modules.

wow. yea, i was trying to see if that LCD panel would be of some use and i can also use some of the misc. buttons for F-16 / F-18 related things.

Cool, Take a look at the huey script and see if you can grasp the logic for radios. It will make going forward easier in the end. I will get on the f-16 script and we can go through it together. Do you by any chance have the fip?

i may be in over my head as i do not know what the fip is. also, please don't go to too much trouble on the script. i'd hate for you to spend time on this if you have other projects that actually reward you for your time $$

ok, i looked at the HUEY "directoutput...lua" and the "saitek...lua" -- quite a bit going on there. i will only have the Saitek throttle plugged in, i probably already said that but just in case these scripts are looking for the stick anywhere, it won't be found.

Nope all good. I forgot you did mention only the throttle. The fip is the gauge display thingy. For you we can create a simple script for the f16. When that is done you will be able to create one for the f18.
