Saitek X52Pro Mfd and Fip how to home

Sounds like you missed the export file(Export.lua) . I really need to clean this thread up.

The attached file goes into your saved games directory. User/Saved Games/Dcs/Scripts.

You might have to create the script file.

From what I read, you are capturing the device , just no info.

Also, you have to scroll the page wheel after starting sim to get read out.

Let me know if this helps.

Export.lua

I have been a little sluggish/slow on getting this project going again.

Currently drawing ( attempting ) gauges for the 109. Have gauges for the F86 drawn out .

Revised some of the steps to get things connected. Just slow going , but going .

Hopefully I will have something out by next weekend.

When I copied the directoutput a10a.lua in scripts, I saw there already was an export.lua file. Is that correct? And if yes, I assume I have to overwrite it?

**EDIT**

I looked at the export.lua that was already in the dir: nothing in it. So, I copied the above file in the dir. I started the A10 lua file, again: a very quick (dark) cmd window. After that: in DCS, in the A10: my X52 Pro MFD still shows nothing, only "Mode 1" and "No Profile" (and date and time ofcourse, which changes when I use the scroll- or push buttons...)

O.k let me check and see what I have going on.

I think i screwed the pooch on that one .

You should have the export.lua and the Saiteka10c in the script folder. The Directoutput file is the one you need to use to start the connector script.

My apologies and I will correct the instructions that you quoted.

In the next iteration things will be more simpler.

Ah... NOW something is happening...!

I start the d.o. file (screen stays black and does NOT close..?) and start DCS. I choose an A10 hot mission I created.

What I see on the MFD is:

TENS

Power

Volume

Knob 1, 2, 3, 4

100Mhz

pushing the scroll wheels changes the above. That's all that is happening, in the A10C cockpit nothing changes.

To be complete:

- I have a X52 Pro

- I own DCS World A10C

Gurby , what drivers are you using for the Joy stick?

Right now , I am getting nothing to work on mine , the fips work though.

I am researching the problem.

Also, when your joystick is idle ( no programs activating the screen) what does your mfd screen look like?

I found myself having issues as well. I used the newer scripts I have created and all the modules would not respond to the scroll wheel. I also checked response in the controller properties page. I found that the scroll wheels were not registering. I uninstalled all of the drivers and reinstalled driver version 6.6.1.40, rebooted and then updated with version 7.0.34.109.

Give that a try for starters.

OK; I will take a look at that when I'm home. After I received the X52Pro I downloaded the latest drivers from the Saitek website.

Could be the directoutput driver..??

When I don't have a profile loaded, the screen says "Mode x" (where x = 1,2 or 3) and "No Profile". Thats it.

BTW, I've been searching but can't find the 6.6 driver you mention...? Do you have a link?

Before you start the process of driver removal, take a look at the joystick property screen and check to see if all of the wheels and buttons register.

If not then time to clear up the driver install.

when you installed the drivers, did you have the joystick plugged in or did you wait until you were prompted to plug in device to be updated?

All buttons show response in the joystick control panel: both scrollwheels push and scroll and the middle buttons evenso.

I waited till prompted to connect the stick...

I did remove the driver and installed "fresh" again (removed everything in registry), still the same..

Fixed?

Well this has been frustrating. Took me awhile to even get to what you were describing. Then I had to try and track it down but, I think I found it.

Try this version of the scripts.

If it does not work can you PM me your log file (user/savedgames/dcs/logs/dcs.log)

fixed script.zip

  • 3 weeks later...

Just an update to all that is interested.

I am still working (refining) on this project.

So far , I have created gauges for the the Fw190, Bf109, the F86. Work continues to refine the other gauges as well.

The X52 Pro side of the equation is coming along as well.

The big news (to me at least) This script does not close when you exit a mission and will resume when you restart a new mission.

No more restarting the script while switching or restarting.

A revamped guide book will also be included when I complete current goals.

For all of you X52 Pro users, what would you find useful to be displayed /controlled on the prop planes?

I have not gotten any stick time on any of the modules lately and I am not sure what would be realistically useful. I have gauges completed for the fip's with controls for things as adjusting alt press, fuel gauge test and working on the clock features.

just not sure what to do with the X52 other than landing gear lights, flap lights fuel warning ...etc.

Hit me and let me know, trying to get the new scripts system out.

Landsraad59,

I just reread that post and the following post. I believe what happened was that he had two versions of the drivers installed.

What you need to do is un install all of the drivers and then dig through you program files and remove anything related to saitek.

Go to their download site and get the newest drivers and install.

Are you only using the x52 pro or are you also using the fips?

Also reference this post.

Let me know how it goes.

X52 wrapper in C#

Hi,

first thank you for reply. joystick.gif

it was my case SD6 and 7 are installed.

so i uninstall all. delete all in PFiles and PFfiles (x86). reboot. reinstall x52 drivers v7 only.

i have in PFiles (x86) a version of directOutput.dll ( 30/07/2014 18:25 v7.0.34.109) but i was surprised to find again another version in Pfiles ( 30/07/2014 18:58 v7.0.34.109).

i download all the drivers from ftp://ftp.saitek.com/pub/software/full/

and i've install Saitek_X52Pro_Flight_Controller_7_0_34_109_64_Drivers_pfw

i've read the post about v7.0.11.1 but i cannot download because the link on saitekforum is dead.

Can you share the zip again ?

thank you
