pepin1234 Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Hi guys I having a lot of problems with x52pro joystick. I use the SST software and with FC2 work perfect ( that means I lieve the in game Control settings as default ). When I use the same profile ( for example Su-25T ) in 1.2.1 World version, the same combination does not work in several joystick buttons. The " slider of the throtle " just dont like work fine and do not respond correct ( in FC2 respond wonderful with the same SST profile ), The " B fire " button does not respond with the same combination of FC2 ( in FC2 work perfect ). When I test the same combination inside the SST software the respond is correct. Some tester can make that test with control combination for Su-25T: Take one profile and set this combinaton for Su-25T and test in both games: Mode 3: Fire B: Nav Light ( RCtrol+L ) Slider of the Throtle: Air brake ( B ) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
MadTommy Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Over the years i have had numerous unexplained issues with the SST profile software with DCS. I now only use it to override the mini mouse functions. Apart from that i use in game key setup. Not ideal but has saved me numerous headaches. Probably not what you want to hear.. but i'd suggest you use the in-game options as much as you can. i5-3570K @ 4.5 Ghz, Asus P8Z77-V, 8 GB DDR3, 1.5GB GTX 480 (EVGA, superclocked), SSD, 2 x 1680x1050, x-fi extreme music. But depending on how exactly a given application processes key strokes different methods of emulation may be required. (advance/normal, Macro yes/no, use of quantize time and lot of other things.) Pepin could you post your profile so i can have a look at it? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] The keeper of all mathematical knowledge and the oracle of flight modeling.:)
71st_Mastiff Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 it's been working fine for me.. slider and all check to make sure you axis are not doubled up in the controls settings? Pepin could you post your profile so i can have a look at it? Here is my profile, work perfect in FC2 but I notice in DCS Games, is just blocked the option of make combination of key with the Hotas via SST. My question to ED is: why not keep the same Hotas interconnection procedure of FC2?? What is the problem here?? I dont like map every combination if I have a software of Saitek that mapped my keyboard What about the russian fighters in FC3, we need to set every combination?? No way!! is really disappointing.LO2Su25T.rar Edited October 2, 2012 by pepin1234 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
MadTommy Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 (edited) Disagree, i'm not sure quite sure how you can disagree that I have experienced numerous problems with SST profile & DCS.. because i have :P SST is a very powerful profiler, able to do just about anything you want. But depending on how exactly a given application processes key strokes different methods of emulation may be required. (advance/normal, Macro yes/no, use of quantize time and lot of other things.) I do agree, its powerful and i wish it worked reliably, maybe it now does.. I have not used it for a full profile since Black Shark 1 days. But i gave up using it due to its unreliability. I also remember numerous ED testers at the time advise not to use it. pepin1234 Posted October 3, 2012 Author Posted October 3, 2012 (edited) yes I erase all the in game setting default control of the x52pro. I notice that my SST shift, Cntrol, Alt key combination are blocked by DCS World. The same combination work perfect in FC2 and in FC2 I have all my profile in SST software and with the same combination key ( Shift, Cntrol etc... ) work fine. Also my Throtle slider work chaotic in DCS World, while in FC2 it does the work perfect ( with the same SST profile ). Edited October 3, 2012 by pepin1234 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Already solved the slider issue, will look into the others in a moment and then post on how to fix it all. ***EDIT*** Done, both nav lights and air brake now working. The Nav Lights; Open profiler Right Click "fire B" New Advanced Command select the Press Row hit RCTRL and L now the important part you see two icons for each button, one resembles the button pressed the other one released. (2nd one is released) not delete both RCTL released and L released. Then right click, quantize time, leave at 0 and press ok. Done. Now for the Airbrakes Right click the slider and set bands right click one of the bands and advanced command again. in the upper row again hit SHIFT B again delete the two released entries (2nd one of each key again) and quantize time 0 do the same for airbrake off then in the greyed out box of the slider select the button "edit bands" and adjust the upper to 0-10% and the lower to 90-100% make sure to leave the middle one blank. Your done. Now a notice to avoid problems in the game or windows, if you now leave the slider (whit profile activated ofcourse) in either of the 10% regions it will keep outputting bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb without stopping. (open notepad or similar whit profile activated and keep slider fully aft/fwd to see what i mean.) So make sure it is roughly in the middle unless you want to retract/extend the airbrake. sounds complicated but you get used to it fast. (i did at least) If you for some reason have problems doing the above just post here again and ill upload the edited profile. Just seems better if you learn to do it yourself so you can try it for other commands to that are giving you problems. ~S~ and hope you get it working. (ps, tested in both DCS World and FC2) Edited October 3, 2012 by 159th_Falcon [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] The keeper of all mathematical knowledge and the oracle of flight modeling.:)

Nav lights and Air brakes working but: The Air brakes I made with press/release, and with Airbrakes ON 95-100%, Airbrakes OFF 0-5%. Dead Zone just 10% at the extremes. Work perfect!!! just try Now left the two rotatory of the Throtle. The big one dont like work for me even in FC2. I will see [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

I will see Awesome news, i use the rotaries to set Skhval target gate size and controlling zoom To do this make sure there set in the profiler as directional axis. Then go ingame, options, SU25T axis controls and assign both to I-251 zoom (skhval and mercury lltv pod) Target box size Once again, have fun. ~S~ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] The keeper of all mathematical knowledge and the oracle of flight modeling.:)
