Are the framerates on the MFD's (like when showing TV or IR video from the Mavericks') cut in half when compared to actual game framerate (for overall FPS improvement)?

Why i ask:

To prevent FPS drops and to prevent microstuttering when going under VSync, i currently use the nVidia VSync "Adaptive at half the refreshrate" setting which gives me a solid FPS of 30 as good as anywhere (microstuttering dissapears when FPS going above VSync frequency, VSync rate itself or at /2 portions of VSync (60, 30, 15 etc...). But when i use that setting in the nVidia control panel, the video displayed in the MFD's is not as smooth as the outside world and even at 30 FPS it microstutters. If i select another mode which bring FPS back up to 60, video on the MFD is smooth again and the microstuttering on the displays are gone.

What is your cockpit display resolution setting? If it is set to every other frame, that might explain what you are seeing.

mfd displays in the sim are a frame hog, but there is a few small tweaks to gain back a few frames.

graphics CFG

lod settings

MFD

{

L01 = 10000;

L12 = 25000;

..................................................

tweak below is the amount of times the video card renders

the scene in the mfd displays set to false to gain a few frames.

MFD_render_params

{

two_pass_always = false;
