Bee_Sting Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 How do you put in jtac in your missions that you create?
BigfootMSR Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 There are several threads on this already. Use the search function at the top. When using the search function, I get the following results just to name a few: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=91595&highlight=adding+jtac http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=71252&highlight=adding+jtac DCS: A10C Warthog JTAC coordinate entry training mission http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/99424/ DCS: Blackshark 2 interactive training missions http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=84612
ENO Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 To add to this a little- we've been unable to get jtac working since one of the new patches... This affected several training missions from Dragon as well as any other JTAC missions we've had. I'd read somewhere that the JTACs essentially shut down because a lack of waypoints caused them to go "end of route" and basically power down. I've tried bringing in a waypoint and a "hold" order so they never get to the end... but that hasn't worked either. Is the hold order actually preventing them from performing? "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
Bee_Sting Posted October 16, 2012 Author Posted October 16, 2012 your guess is good as mine! can you use an awacs as a jtac? i know that awacs can monitor ground forces.
Druid_ Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 place an aircraft on the map and select the TASK as AFAC (airborne forward air controller). The aircraft TYPE drop menu contains all of the airborne units that can act as a JTAC. i7-7700K : 16Gb DDR4 2800 Mhz : Asus Mobo : 2TB HDD : Intel 520 SSD 240gb : RTX 2080ti: Win10 64pro : Dx10 : TrackiR4 : TM Warthog : ASUS ROG SWIFT PG348Q
