Mizzy Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 I was playing with a friend (so to speak) and he had BoB II on his computer. Well I never, those clouds looked really fabulous and very real looking. Ok Lock on has improved since Flanker 2 (my first sim or was it Falcon, well anyway) in visual splenor with a vast improvement on the Disney clouds but surely we can have some cirrious clouds (or something) like the ones in IL2 and BoBII. Well can we? Mizzy
S77th-GOYA Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 I like the BoB II clouds too, but I doubt we'll see any changes in LOMAC in that respect. LOMAC's successor, on the other hand... Honestly, I'd rather ED not put any time into clouds in LOMAC. It's a matter of priorities.
Yellonet Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 A funny thing about the LockOn cluods is that there can be partly cloudy while at the same time it's raining everywhere. i7-2600k@4GHz, 8GB, R9 280X 3GB, SSD, HOTAS WH, Pro Flight Combat Pedals, TIR5
Guest ruggbutt Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 I remember this past summer there were discussions about partly cloudy/rain. I was on the way home from work and stopped a Mickey D's to pick up some food. I started to get rained on and I looked up to partly cloudy skies. I know it seems strange to have that happen, but once it happens to you for real (and you pay attention to it) then it's easier to digest in LOMAC.
Mizzy Posted November 8, 2005 Author Posted November 8, 2005 Well its not exactly a priority I must admit. The real priority is to get cockpits made for the Su17, F5 and Mig 23 :D Mizzy.
Shaman Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Simulating real weather is a very complex and very hard thing to do. Weather is a complicated system - Trust me, I used to work as meteorologist. That's why LockOn's weather annoys me, but what the hell, I just ignore it. If I want to fly for the weather effects, I fire up MS Flight Simulator 2004. I believe the main priority should be Advanced Flight Model for all the fighters. grettings for y'all and ED 51PVO Founding member (DEC2007-) 100KIAP Founding member (DEC2018-) :: Shaman aka [100☭] Shamansky tail# 44 or 444 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 100KIAP Regiment Early Warning & Control officer
