marcos Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 I made a Russian Version of the 'Defend Camp Yankee' mission and the ELINT picks out AAA as diamonds but when I made a small test mission with the same Vulcan AAA, it didn't???
Jona33 Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 I don't think the vulcan has a radar? Correct? Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

marcos Posted October 23, 2012 Author Posted October 23, 2012 So the ELINT doesn't show up range-only radars? Must just have been the Gepard that was tracking. Does the Vulcan trigger the Su-25T's RWR?
Eihort Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Hmmm... In FC2 I think I've seen the ELINT pod show a gun tracking radar from a ZSU as a diamond, but was unable to lock with a ARM. I think it did trigger the SPO-15 though. Not sure.

Pyroflash Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 The ZSU-23-4M has a search radar on top, as well as a terminal fire control radar mounted between the guns. The Vulcan, although it has a ranging radar, will not track the guns, or for that matter, find any targets for the vehicle. You can fire on anything that has a search radar. ARM's will lock and seek onto Shilkas no problem as well. If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.
