Mindz i
I've found mil-spec numbers for many different parts here in the forums, but I'm not sure how to find numbers for each individual panel. In particular, the MFCDs. I'm thinking of making some from scratch but, I'm not sure what the exact measurements are. Are there mil-spec numbers for each panel in their entirety in the A-10c or do they just use numbers for all the individual parts that make up the panels? BHawthorne
Every aircraft has an illustrated parts breakdown manual, which is the -4. All parts numbers can be found in it. I highly doubt the C model IPB is available anywhere, but the A model probably is.
Deadman
There are NSN nfor each panel they have change some for the original A-10A. Getting the part number for each panel doe not help much they don't lead you to the drawings of each panel. There are pictures and links to several instruments and Specs in my build thread along with a list of most the switches in real panels As i recall you have the measurements of the MFCDs so I am not sure what else you need http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=96680 Edited November 15, 2012 by Deadman https://www.shapeways.com/shops/a-10c-warthog-supplies https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans. Mindz i
Dropship Pilot gave me a link, in another thread I started, to a pdf with some decent measurements of the MFCDs. I was hoping that maybe there was a way to find out more detailed specs for the MFCDs and all the other panels from a place like everyspec.com. MFCD is just an example of what I'm looking for, but I am also looking for more detailed measurements for each panel. But, I guess anything more detailed than that would not be in any files available to the public. I figured if there was a list of all the mil-spec numbers for all the panels on the A-10c I could do more of my own research and less asking. Deadman
as far as i know there is no published list of all the NSN panel numbers I have posted panel specs before here http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1364440&postcount=2 https://www.shapeways.com/shops/a-10c-warthog-supplies https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans. Mindz i
I found that post earlier using the search feature. That was very useful. And I've read through your thread. Awesome work! Your like the Yoda of the Home Cockpit forums. :D I was just hoping for more details. For instance, what are the MFCD buttons made of? Are they rubber, like on a tv remote, or plastic? Does the ADJ button pivot in the middle? What kind of switch is under the buttons, etc? But, I guess, I'll just have experiment with different techniques to find one I'm happy with. It would be great if there was a sticky post that contained all of the known info listed and sorted by panel/category. Maybe even have links to the specific posts were the info was first revealed.
