Are the maverick cross hairs supposed to do a dog jog in the MFD while trying to lock targets?..is that a realism feature or bug??

Maverick, probable realism feature, like the DCS A-10C mavs.

CBU's, check you have no pressure on the stick at the moment of release.

The real maverick isn't ground stabilised so it moves with the plane. Easiest way to get a lock is to point the nose at the target.

It is, if you have a radar.

Find the target (eyes work well), point the nose at it and slew the maverick at it (look at the crosshair on the HUD). Then look at the screen. Fine tune, lock, shoot.

on the A10c you have finer control over the seeker head movement of the mav's on the A10 a the mav seeker seems to move in different direction when you use the slew controls .. it has nothing to do with being ground stabilsed
