badger66 Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 (edited) Ive just noticed the TAD and TGP cursors are gone mad ..... I mean the joystick sensitivity seems changed to superfast ..... which is way too fast for me . Ive tried changing slew rates but it doesnt do anthing . Since I bought FC3 , Ive been having a few days off A-10c , so im not exactly sure if this changed in a patch , and when it changed . Is there any otner way to slow the slew rate down ? Ok , Ive backed the TGP slew to 9.0 , and that seems to be ok now , but I cant adjust the Mav seeker slew rate , and its too fast now . Edited November 22, 2012 by badger66
159th_Viper Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Mav slew value needs to be lower IIRC, ie low = slow. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Irregular programming Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Mav slew value needs to be lower IIRC, ie low = slow. Nope :smilewink: It's the other way around. (higher=slower) That said I haven't experienced any change in sensitivity at all. Badger are you sure that your joystick isn't acting up?
Rocky49 Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 It's higher value equals slower rates in TAD and lower value equals slower in MAV System:Motherboard Asus ROG Strix Z390-E,Asus ROG GeForce RTX 2080Ti OC, GPU, 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 Ram, Intel i9 9900K @ 5 GHz , cooled by NZXT Kraken X52, Acer XB270HU G-Sinc monitor, Windows 10 Pro, Warthog joystick and throttle with wasy extension, VBK Gunfighter Pro and MCG Pro,MFG Rudder, running on a dedicated 1TB Samsung 970 Pro M2 Nvme , Super Wheel Stand Pro, with a HP Reverb G2
BlueRidgeDx Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 No it's not. Higher numbers equal slower slewing for both Mav and System rates. "They've got us surrounded again - those poor bastards!" - Lt. Col. Creighton Abrams
Rocky49 Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 That is not my recent experience:music_whistling: System:Motherboard Asus ROG Strix Z390-E,Asus ROG GeForce RTX 2080Ti OC, GPU, 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 Ram, Intel i9 9900K @ 5 GHz , cooled by NZXT Kraken X52, Acer XB270HU G-Sinc monitor, Windows 10 Pro, Warthog joystick and throttle with wasy extension, VBK Gunfighter Pro and MCG Pro,MFG Rudder, running on a dedicated 1TB Samsung 970 Pro M2 Nvme , Super Wheel Stand Pro, with a HP Reverb G2
BlueRidgeDx Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 If that's the case, it's wrong (again). I personally reported the bug and provided the documentation to the relevent developer that shows that higher numbers equal slower slew speed, and you can check the patch change log to verify that the behavior was corrected in v1.0.x. I also flew last night and, having screwed with the TM Warthog's slew axis sensitivity, needed to adjust both the System and Mav slew rates to 8.0 in order to reduce the sensitivity. It worked exactly like it's supposed to. I don't know what you're talking about, but the behavior you describe is consistent neither with the real airplane, nor with the expected behavior in-sim. I suggest you try it again. "They've got us surrounded again - those poor bastards!" - Lt. Col. Creighton Abrams
Hamblue Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Did the OP try changing the axis settings? You can control the sensitivity there as well. Rocky49 Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Thank- you for the correction. I find that my TM WARTHOG has a very poor mini stick so I guess that may be my issue. Rocky49 Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Blueridgedx Did you ask them to update the mav tutorial when you advised them of the real world use? Mav training still says to go lower. BlueRidgeDx Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Blueridgedx Did you ask them to update the mav tutorial when you advised them of the real world use? Mav training still says to go lower. Nope, I never "tested" the game documentation. As near as I know, the manual also still says that the Mav pointing cross is supposed to flash when lock criteria have been met, which is wrong too. Rocky49 Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Too bad, that's probably why there are some misconceptions on these boards. They have an opportunity right now as they are reworking the tutorials because of problems with the latest version. badger66 Posted November 24, 2012 Author Posted November 24, 2012 After getting FC3 , somehow the slew rate of the Mav & TGP in A-10C have gone haywire ..... and I dont know why . Maybe it has something to do with setting up for other aircraft commands ..... but I know I didnt change any settings in A-10C !!! I seem to have lost all sensitivity values in the TGP and Mav on my TW Warthog . Could someone please let me know the sensitivity values on their TM Warthog for TGP slew please ? Thanks
