Oh and one more thing... it is better to release one module at a time because if suddenly we get F-16, F-15, MiG-29, Su-27 etc in one go there is no way you will learn to fly them (properly) for ages... I like one aircraft out... learn it... eventually you will get bored with repetition... year or so later you get another one... learn it.. rinse and repeat.

I would pay $100 for DCS module of any decent fighter, even some strike aircraft (Jaguar for example)... those $100 of absolute authenticity and learning and flying the airframe is like on this VISA adds... PRICELESS!

Combat Flight Sim is a passion... and when you enjoy something that much and spend hundreds of hours "in it" it's well worth the money. And don't forget, no one likes to work hard and not get paid... and if the pay sucks... well you will stop doing it won't you?

So be happy we have ED making our hobby reality... and now 3rd party join in to bring stuff faster... we really should be happy.

when people who do their art/ hobby, for the workmanship and the joy of doing so, forget that and go chasing the buck... they usually end up hating their own works

They're almost universally never as good, either - If, as they say, "genius is the capacity for taking infinite pains," you're only going to get the effort required to make something extraordinary when motivated by the desire to work on it for its own sake, and the eye for quality that develops as a consequence, which money can certainly attract, but not inculate.

For when it goes wrong: Win10x64, GTX1080, Intel i7 @3.5 GHz, 32GB DDR3, Warthog HOTAS, Saitek combat rudder pedals, TrackIR 5 / Vive Pro, a case of Pabst, The Funk

It is all about your money Vs. your quality of play time. I get way more then my $50 worth of play time out of ED sims, thus I would pay more if they charged more. $50 is a spit in the bucket for the amount and quality of sim time you get.

Not everybody is going to have the same demand curve for the product, which means even at the optimum price point, you won't reach everybody who might want the product. Just the way it goes.

Naturally, but ED are not growing fat off of what they charge and still people complain about the price. It seems a bit skewed. If your threshhold is lower, buy it when it's on sale, don't hate on ED for trying to make a living.

Wow.. some of you really blew this in a different direction. I am more than well aware of what goes into making these sims thats a given. I understand everyone needs to get paid. I am not by any means trying to be greedy what so ever. All I was doing was asking if anyone else had the same thoughts as I do. Yet some of you took it in a completely different way.

I mean its whatever. I didnt try to butt hurt everyone with my fantacy suggestion xD obviously this will never happen. I know that. I knew that posting it. That doesnt matter. I was trying to get other opinions yet all I heard was "amount it takes to make" in almost every single post.

I know little to nothing about the company. I dont know how big they are or anything. How am I supposed to know if they have 5 programmers or 500? I'm not going to research it because it doesnt matter that much to me.

Well you asked for opinions (what other people think) and that's what you got... now you know how others think. Mission accomplished ;)

Exactly. They have a right to their opinion, but why be critical?

Why not be critical if it helps to improve the quality of the product? It's how you say it.

I was agreeing with your comment. I used 'be critical' to mean 'complaining about the price'.
