Hi ED an all,

in FC2 it is possible let the infantry to go inside buildings.

Notice: not puttin it ON the buiding, with the result of seeing it over, but placing it a few metres near the buiding and a waypoint at the building (and wide from view once inside).

I used this to place a "flag" usable in the rules for the triggers for check the integrity of the default buildings of the world designated as target (infantry dead=building destroyed).

In the same way is possible get inside vehicles in hangars o garages.

IN DCS World it's non possible.

It's a bug? It's possible to have again this possibility?

Tks

This is interesting, I did not realize this was possible in FC2.

One thing I did notice is the armed houses in DCS World are really stout. I sat in a Challenger IFV about 10 meters away and pumped 30mmHE into an armed house and did not destroy it. Evidently it can withstand the 30mm fire and requires heavier ammo to kill it.

Yea, I noticed some time ago it was harder/impossible to move stuff inside of buildings. Now, they just stand on top.

As far as I know, it's not a bug. Mission builders often do want to make infantry stand on top of buildings.

The best way to detect destroyed map objects in DCS World is to use the scripting engine- it can detect the actual destruction of the map object.

tks for reply

I often put infantry and MANPADs on the top of buildings (like my friends know very well...)

I told: in FC2 it was possible both the chances: inside and on top.

In DCS World only the second one.

I will learn the new way

How can I detect the object through the script map destroyed?

Some of the static object structures will allow you to spawn units "inside" and have them run out. Generally it's seems like the older looking objects are not clipable. Not sure if this is at all relevant to what you're trying to do.

1. The Chally is a TANK not an IFV

2. you might of got mixed up with the Warrior.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
