scorpionk Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 (edited) I have purchased CA as it lookes alot like jcats the militery uses and wanted to see if there is anything there for me and my friends. I did have A-10C installed and run ok. Once installed World nothing runs. it just crashes. How should I start solving this issue. Read forums and tried many of the others solution. I have Windows 7 32bit AMD Athlom 64 x2 Dual Core 6400 3.20Ghz RAM 6.00 GB CA or A-10 DCS World Starts then goes to window screen then Mission starts. After about 60% loading it crashes. There is a generic windows message which is no help and no log is generated in DCS World folder????? Any help would be great!!! Thanks Edited December 21, 2012 by scorpionk
Quax456 Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 I assume it's due to win7 32bit. Hope you know that 6GB Ram doesn't work in 32bit OS's. Thats the point you can doe some Reg tricks to use 3.5 GB RAM but I would say just upgrade to 64Bit to be shure...... scorpionk Posted December 28, 2012 Author Posted December 28, 2012 Fixed Issue Reinstalled Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 x86 Redistributable SDK. It works ok now?
chromium Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 It's a question or a statement? :) As said by the others, if you want to use all of your RAM you must have a 64bit OS. Otherwise, you must use the 32bit switch... but you can sell 2 Gb of ram, as you won't ever see them in the system :(. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.
