I NEED HELP .... HyperLobby

Again I must ask for your help. I have tried using Muli-player / coop for lomac through Hyperlobby whith no success. When ever I try to join a session I get an error Message

 

“ this application has failed to start because lua.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem”

I tried Re-installing still I got the same error. also I read "Sticky: New Pilots Must Read - Flaming Cliffs" that didnt help. So I installed the "No stutter fix", still did not work. If any one has had smaller problems, and found a solution please share it.

make sure yur upto date on your patches bro i think all servers in HL ar running on version 1.11

Are you behind a router? I know my firewall would give me issues till I figured out how to config it for HL.

if its just lua.dll thats missing, cant you just copy that file from the cd and insert it into its rightful place ?, i am not sure if that will work, but if its only 1 file and you have that file on disk and you know where it goes, try copying it directly to where it should go. and try running the game.

 

I dont know where that dll is meant to go cuz my pc in a state of format and i dont have lomac installed so i cant check for you.

 

ask someone if they know which directory lua.dll should go into and then try that, if you havent got a copy of that dll file, ask someone to give you a copy of it.

Start/Run CMD

Ipconfig

Note your Default Gateway ip-address and browse this ip-address to configure.

Note also ip address (this is your intern ip-address)

Browse http://www.whatismyip.com/ (this is your extern ip-address)

You have to forward port 10308 for tcp/udp (NAPT on my DSL)

I think the stutter-fix patch has nothing to do with MP or HL. That's a totally different thing.

Go in Start/Run on your desktop and type CMD + <ENTER>

The stutter patch has everything to do with MP, but it's integrated into 1.11, so there's no need for it unless you are running 1.1 unpatched.

be sure that you have Universal Plug and Play Device Host Service is running. Was disabled in my case, and I was unable to host the games.

 

This services is, however, not needed when you are going as a client
