Hi all,

First here is my rig:

> i5 2500k @4.5GHz

> ASUS P67 Sabertooth

> ASUS 580GTX DCII

> 2x4Gb Corsair Vengeance RAM

> Win7 Home

> Acer GD245HQ 24" 1920x1080 screen

DCS settings:

> Texture - HIGH

> Scenes - HIGH

> Civ - OFF

> Water - MED

> Vis. range - HIGH

> Heat blur. - OFF

> Shadows - MED

> Ckpt. displays - 512

> AA - 8xQ

> TSSAA - ON

> Ckpt. shadows ON

> Trees - 9km

Obviously it's running pretty good (>60fps) but in numerous cases i observe a unexplained FPS drop.

They generally occur when flying around a great airfield, with lots of hangars such as Senaki, Krasnodar (the west one), or Kobuleti.

FPS drop from 60 to 50 or even 40 sometimes.

This is however with only one aircraft; the loss is slightly greater with complex cockpit aircraft (Ka-50 or F-15C).

It is even worse with complex 3D planes, smoke or CBU drop (-87 give me a slideshow).

Even if 30/40fps can be a good performance it becomes barely enjoyable with TrackIR.

Also i noticed that my GPU load can reach 90/100% for no special reason (tested with F-15C, cockpit view, engines shut down, at parking).

I use 306.47 WHQL drivers.

Even if these are still acceptable results, i would except better performance with my computer.

Are u experiencing such inconvenience ? I heard that EDGE will improve mutli core and GPU usage; i hope it will solve all these unexplained performance drops.

Greetings

Corsair
