I am having a hard time finding a profile for my X45 and Flaming Cliffs 2. I am comp stupid and am looking for step by step instructions on how to get one and get it loaded in to the game.

Can anyone help?

It is very easy, you need to download the saitek sd6 programming software from

the saitek page. Once you have downloaded it and installed you open the profile editor,

assign keys as desired, save the profile with a name(for example FC2.pr0) and the

you load it throught the saitek loader in the right down corner of the screen).

If you have doubts don't be shy and asked everything,I even have a profile I can send

you,but it is for FC3 and I don't know if it would be of much help.

Thanks Falcon, But I have been doing that and it doesnt seem to work unnless I go into the game itself under options and assign the keys in there. Even then it does not recognize Mode 1,2,3 individually, and I cant seem to bind two keys, such as "Home + Rt Shift" for engine start.....Maybe I am not loading the profile right after I save it.....

Once you've saved the profile, you have to go to the profile loader,is the

joystick icon,in you right click in it,a menu with some options will come up.One

of those option should be the profile you've saved before, left click in the name of the

profile, and then a green circle iirc will appear behind the joystick icon.If so,the profile is loaded.

Read this:http://www.saitek.com/manuals/SST_Manual_En.pdf

It explains clearly how to do it.

Maybe you had changed the USB port.

Try plug your X-45 in another USB port and repeat the secuence.

I re-installed the drivers and software and it seems to recognize the commands now, however it will only allow me to program 1 mode. If I try to program a second mode it changes the Mode 1 command to the new one i just programmed. Its a start I guess.
