I would like to know if there is any standard method of doing the joint up with your own flight after take off on the A-10C in RL.

I mean if there is a standard orbit pattern while waiting wingman to take off or the thing to do is just fly slow and with a low climb angle and let the wingman chase you up wile on route.

The second info i would like to know, if is there is a standard way of doing the joint up, which are the difference between a two or a four A/C flights.

Thanks in advance for the answers and sorry if this topic has been already discussed.

Bloomin' yanks! Over here we'd face a court-martial followed by a dishonorable discharge for jointing up in the services ... let alone while flying in an A-10!

Tomcatter, not meaning to aggravate my friend, but the phrase is 'join up'.

Joint up is what you do when you and your mates have an ounce or two of the wacky-baccy (mary-j, weed, Ethiopian ganja, buddha sticks, apocynum cannabinum or just plain old marijuana).

This document looks like its got some relevant info. Check out section 3.8 :). However, I know for sure that there's others on these forums that can give you a much more satisfying answer that I shall look forward to as well!

"A true 'sandbox flight sim' requires hi-fidelity flyable non-combat utility/support aircraft."

Wishlist Terrains - Bigger maps

Wishlist Modules - A variety of utility aircraft to better reflect the support role. E.g. Flying the Hornet ... big yawn ... flying a Caribou on a beer run to Singapore? Count me in. Extracting a Recon Patrol from a hastily prepared landing strip at a random 6 figure grid reference? Now yer talking!

All right..¡¡¡¡ I see...

Sorry for the spelling, maybe doing too much joints up lately...:music_whistling:

I will edit the tittle....

And thanks for the document, i will check it and try to improve my skills in formation managament... And no problem with the correction, I thank you to help to improve my English spelling:thumbup:

From the doc linked above i assume that, once inside the speed and altitude limits reflected in that doc, the join up can be done in any way (circuit pattern, on route, orbiting near a waypoint, etc...) that the flight leader may plan in the briefing before the take off?

I find the above doc too generic, but maybe are other factors like traffic, topography, weather, etc.. that makes that the need of individual plan for each flight is the logic way of doing a join up , rather than a fixed doctrine.

A-10C rejoin contracts:

Straight Ahead Rejoin Contract

• Lead will maintain 200 KIAS

• Two will rejoin on the left.

• Wingmen will use 30 to 50 KIAS of overtake.

• Stabilize in route with four ship-widths lateral spacing.

• If an overshoot occurs or is imminent, advise the flight on the radio.

Turning Rejoin Contract

• Lead will establish a level turn at 30° bank and 200 KIAS.

• Two will rejoin on the inside of the turn.

• Wingmen will use 20 to 30 KIAS of overtake.

• Wingmen will stabilize in route before moving to close.

• If an overshoot occurs or is imminent, advise the flight on the radio.

Perfect! Thanks Eddie.

Ahh .. no Freefall (sorry for the late response), I've a hard enough time keeping to coordinated flight let alone doing that while under the influence. Besides, it's conduct unbecoming ... so they say! :D
