Hi,

Is the serial I own for each module restricted to only one computer or can I install them on two?

Steam has such a feature I’m looking for. You can install your games on several computers, but you can only run the games from one computer at a time.

I do not intend to run the modules on two computers at the same time, so a solution similar to the one Steam is offering would be sufficient. My problem is that I work away from home for about a week and I'd like to use DCS:Combined Arms when at work. Is this possible?

Thank you

one more thing™

If you play with offline-mode steam, basically, you can play the same game on any computer that has steam validated at the same time. Because no connection will be made.

Very handful with local co-op games like BorderL***1&2

For DCS, you have 10 possible validation before getting in trouble. Never forget to de-active a copy before making stupid things like Format c:/

Does this work for non-steam (directly purchased from ED) version?

(it sure would be great to be able to have it running on my laptop too)

Yes, you can have it installed on two computers simultaneously.

The stipulation in the license states that what you cannot do is to run it simultaneously on both said computers.

So for example, if you have two computers that you may use (for example one desktop when home and a laptop when out on work, or one computer at home and one at your university dormitory), this is fine. What is disallowed is the use of both computers simultaneously (for example to install on two computers and have your friends play your license at the same time as you do on another computer.)

Yes, you can have it installed on two computers simultaneously.

That means 2 separate (different) activations with the same serial, correct?

Yes two activations, again the caveat is that only 1 licensed copy can run at a time.

For instance I have DCSW+modules installed on my two desktops and my laptop. I can only run (1) instance at a time in accordance with the lciensing agreement.

When it comes to multiplay, even LAN, your DCS installation needs to speak with the master server and you cannot run two instances online at the same time.

Assume I have two computers and I own DCS A-10C and FC3. Am I allowed to run DCS A-10C on one computer and FC3 on the other computer at the same time, i.e. may I play DCS A-10C while my friend is playing FC3?
