McMicha Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 (edited) Hello Cezar11, i don't knonw the I-PAC controller board but i know the Acraze controller board. The Acraze board is a USB HID device (keyboard, mouse, joystick or gamepad) with 40 I/O Pins and 6 analog axes. The 40 I/O pins adjustable as input or output. There are expansion boards for Acrcze with LED or digits displays. The Acraze config tool required Windows with .NET 3, the Arcaze board self work under Windows, MAC or Linux... agrasyuk Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Gpwiz looks comparable to this but 10$ or so cheaper for someone like me who prefers solder connectors instead of screw terminals Anton. My pit build thread . Simple and cheap UFC project
metalnwood Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 I have used an ipac in an arcade machine, the main thing to be aware of is that it does not appear as a joystick to the game, it is a keyboard encoder so it only sends keyboard commands to the computer. This is not a problem for arcade machines which it was made for but might be an issue for you unless you know all your commands are bound to keyboard keys or you know they can be.
Mr_Burns Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 I wouldnt advise a keyboard emulator. I bought an X Wiz by mistake and that acts as a keyboard (thought it was Gwiz), its PS2, might not have been too much of an issue but there is no PS2 on my motherboard! Although this is USB, if you plan on making a pit you will only be able to use the one board whearas GPWIZ or the like, the game recognises them as separate game inputs so you can use 2 or 3 or 10 I suppose. This would be OK if you just wanted a sinmple generic panel and didnt use your keyboard much.
