Good day all, I just have a question.

I can normally run this game at 1920x1080 Max details sitting on the runway with everything on and get a steady 60 fps, and approx 35-40 in the pit.

Recently I went out and purchased 2x 24in led's to setup a 3 way system.

The rez worked out to 5760x1080.

I set it up using 3 camera, one camera, messed with the detail levels and even started dropping the resolution but I'm lucky if I can get 10fps on the runway.. and break 20 in the air, its very annoying!!

Is this a normal drop for adding the extra screens?

I included my dxdiag and these are the basic stats.

I7 Cpu 930 @ 3.4G

12GB Ram

GTX 670 2gig

Any help or advice would be great, I can see how awsome it would be to run all three, but right now there is no way I can make it work

(also ordered track ir!!! WOOT!!)

Cheers!

3x camera viewpoints means you are rendering the sim world 3x times so hit on framerate is quite noticeable. You will need to reduce some settings, I suggest not running more than 4x FSAA and water on low or medium, one easy tweak you can do is edit Graphics.cfg file (use Notepad++ program to edit it and not wordpad or notepad or alike) and reduce FarClip value from 150000 to 100000 or little less and you'll gain some FPS with no reduction in graphics quality - you just won't see as far away ;) )

I didn't look at your DXDiag because i dont understand them, but you should try using Nvidia Surround (2D) or eyefinity, depending on your video card.

I use Nvidia Surround and it turns my 3 monitors into one screen with a resolution of 5760x1080 (6000x1080 with bezel correction).

Then in DCS options select 1 screen and select your new resolution (5760x1080), the aspect will change automatically.

With this config i get around 25 fps on the ground and 40-60 fps in the air. Almost everithing maxed out, except a couple of things like TSAA, vertical sync, water an civ traffic.

Hope it helps

Hi Damo,

Lets check some settings in the Vid card Control Panel.. Open Nvidia Control Panle goto Manage 3D Settings, look for the following:

1. Multi display/Mixed GPU Rendering: Single Display performance

2. Power Management mode: Prefer Maximum Performance

Also with that CPU I would look into Overclockinbg it some.. You will need a Good AfterMarket Heatsink/Fan Cooler to get some good clocking. But with the Stock Heatsink maybe a 3-400mhz boost..but I would HIGHLY RECCOMEND a Aftermarket Cooler when OC..Your Vid card is more than capable and the Bottlenec currently looks to be the CPU, Look into OverClocking it some.. ;)

Other then OC a NEW CPU /Mobo Combo would be in order if not wanting to OC.. but also check those Video settings as most people have them set wrong.. especially Power Managment..

Not much you can do! The more camera's you use ... the more performance you will lose.

All you can do is turn down graphic settings.

Now most use one camera with 3 screens, but you will get some stretching.

in the OP he had tried setting the graphics and all down and still got crappy FPS.. Something else is amiss..

Hey guys, thanks for all the responses.

I checked out everything I could think of, I think its just too much for the video card to handle..

I can run rise of flight(just tested for lawls) plus a few racing games at that rez, and I can get this baby going easy with 1 camera.. its when you switch to 3 problems start.

I may at some point look into using the other two screens just for 1mfd each.. if thats even possible.

As for my cpu, it had been mentioned to overclock... it already is. lol its stock 2.8 running 3.4 gig lol.

Perhaps its a vram issue, I dunno, I can run any other game(including this one) maxed to the nuts on 60 fps.

I double checked the aero and it is running, in the air I think the max I have seen so far is about 21 fps.

I MAY.. MAY.. at some point pickup a second 670 gtx and sli them, but its hard to justify right now!!

I have track ir comming in the mail so I"m thinking that with my 27in will help a lot.

For right now im LOVING this game, I have a-10 p-51 and the ka-50..(and combined arms.. cant figure it out at all lol)

I tried the a-10 training and after about the 500 million time they said turn this on and used this abbreviation I threw in the towel!!! I got those wicked training missions for ka-50 and right now I"m loving that:)

I just read that( figured it was best to check )

Oh well, I'm still happy:)

I've owned the a10 since the day it came out.. and NEVER got around to playing the damn game.. so i just broke down and bought em all (damn p51.. can not get off the ground rofl)
