The men and women differ, but not on the scale you picture. There is zero objectivity in what you imply by "her true identity". There is no reasons women can't fight the wars, explore the space, do a volcano research, or do whatever humans do or did before.

Given that combat-role duties now are open in the US armed forces for women I think we are going to see some roles having higher female "density" than others given the only statistically significant difference between the sexes: body size. I imagine a lot of women will be in tanks, fighterplanes, submarines, snipers, anything where a smaller size is an advantage.

Edit: It might come a day that when someone says tank-commander, you'll picture yourself a woman.

The job itself deserves admiration, but the point that she is a women doesn't.

I disagree- the point that she is a woman DOES deserve admiration. Why? Because she has to not only fight the enemy, but also fight sexist stereotypes at the same time.

Intelligent discourse can only begin with the honest admission of your own fallibility.

Wow... female and got hit in combat: Big cheers. Sorry but I can't join your enthusiasm about it. And regarding the last sentence from that link:

"As a woman, I have always felt I needed to work that much harder to make my mark and it makes me proud to know that if there was ever a mark to be made, Major Campbell is living proof."

I say there is no mark. If she wants to proof that women can fight as tough, hard, brave, whatever as men do...then there is a lack of self-confidence and self esteem in trying to compare apples and oranges. Men and women differ and there is no way the new Gender theory gets to that point of denying this. And if they differ then they shouldn't compete against each other especially not, if the women tries to do everything men do forgetting about her true identity. Call me old and conservative, but I found no logical reason to believe that men and women are the same.

Calm down all........

All I intended to do was to share an uplifting story. It could have been a male pilot but I still would have shared it. not start a political debate

It's less a political one, more a moral one but I see that there is no reason to discuss any further when it is not what the starter intended. So I apologize for my misunderstood and wish you all the best.
