I've never found a way to fire the UPK-23 pods in anything other than 10rd bursts. Is there some secret deep magic method to get them to spray until they're empty? Or is it just that limited?

Yeah you are right flanker0ne! All weapons are controlled with that selector.

 

Unguided rockets, ATGM, cannons...

Yeah you are right, gun pods arent adjustable.

 

From manual (6-54 to 6-55):

 

Long-medium-short weapon mode switch

The 2A42 cannon has three firing modes: long burst, medium burst, and short burst. Use this three position switch to select the mode. This switch also controls rocket salvo amounts and if Vikhr is launched one at a time or in pairs.

 

Nothing about gun pods.

Ah ok.

 

Can'I also focus the post on the speed/ripple used for unload the KMGU-2's .

In the Su-25 the pilot is able to select between 3 speed.

Now, we have the selector Fast-Slow for the ROF of the internal 2A42, everyone already understand where I wont get to.

The second is, if the dropping mechanism can't be touched because not realistic, why the speed is set with the fastest between the three, making the KMGU almost ineffective if not dropped at 320 km/h?
