F15 can only shoot guns NO missles in FC2 and FC3

Not sure whats going on but I spent enough time on it. I am new to the f15 and have been watching all the videos and things. As I change through the modes I cannot get a missle to launch, just guns . Even selecting the 7 or 120 in whatever mode= no go. All i get are guns. even if I have not selected (2 C I ) or whatever button for the guns.

 

I dont have this problem in the Russian Planes. Its such a laugh, I thought I would ask here!

Make sure you have mapped the "pickle" button to launch missiles...

Another thing I discovered as a noob was that I wasn't holding the missile fire button down for a few seconds. I was fast-triggering. Holding button down fixed my issue, about 3-4 seconds.

I was not aware I had to map anything esp. since I know all of the Russian Planes work just fine?

Indeed you have to map the "pickle" button and hold it until the missile release. The default key is Spacebar IRCC.

for russian planes, the same button is used for guns and missiles/bombs.

For Us planes there is the trigger for the gun AND the pickle button(must hold it 1 sec) for missiles/bombs :thumbup:
