Folks,

This is an A-10C Warthog single mission known as Hideout flown in the DCS: A-10C module to DCS: World. These videos fall into the AAR category with commentary provided throughout. The idea behind these is to verbalize what I do during mission planning and mission execution to give new players (or experienced players) an idea of what to do and what a full mission looks like. Sometimes just seeing someone else go through the motions of planning and flying a mission from beginning to end can make a big difference in terms of enjoying your own missions.

These videos are viewable all the way up to 1080p using the YouTube player so they should look good even when viewed full-screen.

I realize the videos are a little long and no normal human being wants to listen to me talk for hours at a time. I will provide time references to major events so you will be able to pick and choose what you want to see.

Requests for clarification of anything I go over or recommendations for additional topics are welcome.

If you found this mission helpful there is a mission called Smerch Hunt as well as a full 16 mission campaign flown in the A-10A available for viewing.

I really appreciate your AAR's as unlike most on the net you talk your way through and I get insight to your thoughts and tactics.

I'd love to see one the CSAR mission. The only one I've found on YouTube is someone using labels so he's picking off targets you'd never detect at long range. I'm banging my head on the wall with this one because I hate to use the piece-meal approach memorizing threats and reactions to win. I'd love to see an experienced player approach and problem solve the mission to a logical conclusion.

Thanks a lot folks and nice guide Derelor! Very useful.

DayGlow, I just recorded the CSAR mission but, yeah once you have flown it a few times it is easy to fall into the trap of knowing and anticipating threats. I tried to take a different approach and flew it way more aggressively than I normally would just to experience a different solution to the problem. It should be posted by tomorrow.
